What To Do in Dubai

Here are some great things you can do while you visit this wonderful city of Dubai:

Soar over the waves with a flyboarding session in Dubai

If you haven’t had a chance yet to try the flyboard craze that’s sweeping the nation, it’s time to experience it for yourself. With a water-jet powered board attached to your feet, you can soar above the waves or even dive underwater. With a bit of coordinated movement and balance, you’ll soon suprise yourself with tricks and turns through the waves. Flyboarding is definitely one of the most exciting things to do in Dubai.

Conquer the desert in your very own dune buggy

This is off-road exploring at its best, racing over sandy peaks and valleys, and taking in the amazing scenery. A dune buggy safari is an action-packed adventure perfect for those seeking to explore the thrilling side of the otherwise serene desert. On the way, you can stop for refreshments or to take photographs of the desert, as you’ve never seen it before.

And if those are not enough, here are some more things to do. It may be quite common, but if you’re in Dubai, they are extraordinary!

  • Cheap Chic,
  • Shopping Malls,
  • Gold Shopping,
  • Drinks,
  • See Burj Al Arab 7star hotel (but of course, maximum is 5 star, but this particular hotel is superb)
  • Man Made Islands,
  • Dubai Beach,
  • Desert,
  • and cheap Gold (if you know how to haggle!)

The Burj Khalifa is a stunning feat of architecture and engineering, with two observation decks on the 124th and 148th floors and a restaurant-bar on the 122nd. The world’s tallest building pierces the sky at 828m and opened in January 2010, six years after excavations began. To avoid wait times or expensive fast-track admission, book tickets online as far as 30 days in advance. Note that high humidity often cloaks Dubai in a dense haze, making views less than breathtaking.

The most popular ticket is the one to the At the Top observation deck on the 124th floor (452m), where high-powered telescopes (extra fee) help bring even distant developments into focus (at least on clear days) and cleverly simulate the same view at night and 35 years back in time. Getting to the deck means passing various multimedia exhibits until a double-decker lift whisks you up at 10m per second.
