find best airplane seat

Most people don’t like long flights. Well, we have all been there.

A child kicking the back of the seat, lack of legroom, a war to get that armrest might be a few things that none of us likes while on a journey.

Whether it is a quick local/provincial trip or a long flight abroad, finding the best seat can make all the difference.

Every flight has some seats that better than others. Yes!! Business-class and exit row makes a significant difference, but there are other seats as well.

Now some seats come with more excellent legroom, others are noisy, and some are near the toilet.

So, it does not matter if you are looking for a seat with good legroom or are reluctant to noise and want to grab a perfect sleeping spot, the tips mentioned below will help you with the best seat.

#1. Aisle Seats

If you like to sit on the aisle, the best seats are those in the centre section.

If the plane on which you are flying has a 3-4-3 configuration, choosing to sit on the aisle of the centre section means that there will be fewer people moving past you.

The middle seats in the centre section are usually less desirable by most of the people and are likely to be filled at last. So, you might even get lucky to have a spare seat beside you.

#2. Avoid Noise

If you have an overnight flight, you probably would be looking forward to squeezing in a bit of sleep. So, finding a quiet spot will be on your priority.

To avoid the noise of the engine from outside, try to stay clear of the back of the plane.

Thus, the best chance of preventing the engine noise would be by choosing a front seat, especially if you have a window seat.

If looking to get a seat in the cabin itself, try to find yourself a seat in the middle of the cabin.

The main areas where passengers keep rushing are the snacks area and the toilet. These are generally located at the back of the cabin.

So, if you are on the aisle and don’t want to get disturbed, stay away from the back.

People with families and small babies usually choose to sit on the bulkhead at the front of the cabin. The reason is the extra room for the bassinets in this area.

So, try and find your perfect spot in the middle of the cabin, to avoid the potential disturbance from both ends.

#3. Book Your Tickets Early

Most people are not aware of this, and they usually end up arriving late at the airports.

So, check-in early, go to the gate and utilize your time in finding yourself the best seat possible.
